Anti-Racism Committee

This committee's purpose is to inform and educate the congregations of our synod about racism and white privilege. Our committee provides anti-racism training, is a resource for ELCA materials concerning white privilege and racism, networks and coordinates with other ELCA synods, interfaith and community groups. We do all this to be advocates for racial justice and to empower our synod congregation members to become anti-racist allies and advocates.

To the left you will find a link to our brochure which lists study materials for both youth and adults. A reading and video list for individuals and discussion groups; Interfaith and community groups committed to the work of dismantling racism and the sin of white power and privilege.

This committee can provide anti-racism workshops, speakers for Sunday forums and lead small group studies.

Open your hearts for understanding the sin of racism which keeps us separated from others and the work our Lord calls us to do.
