Over the years, the Gloria Dei Fund has provided many grants to assist professional leaders with sabbatical, continuing education and leadership development opportunities and seed money for new or expanding ministries.

The Governing By Laws of the Gloria Dei Endowment Fund stipulate that a minimum of 60% of grant funds be used for sabbatical, continuing education and leadership development for rostered leaders. Other allowable purposes are evangelism and parish outreach, parish education, support for mission congregations and in support of the social ministries of the NW Washington Synod.
