Join us to celebrate the coming together of Lutheran Campus Ministry and Ministry to International Students and Scholars! Pastor Joseph Li will continue doing the vital ministry with international students that he has been doing for 8 years, now under the "UW Lutherans" umbrella. We invite all to celebrate with us. Rostered Ministers are invited to wear stoles - color white/gold (no robes/albs). The short service will take place outdoors near the Drumheller Fountain on campus. An indoor reception will be held in Nanoengineering Commons, a short walk from the fountain. Parking on campus is FREE on Sundays. Free parking is also available at University Lutheran Church (1604 NE 50th St.)

A little more history:

Lutheran Campus Ministry at the University of Washington is excited to call Pastor Joseph Li to serve as pastor to international students and scholars at UW! Pastor Li has been serving in this role since 2015. In prayerful consultation with the synod, Director for Evangelical Mission Rev. Herb Shao, and the Board of Lutheran Campus Ministry at UW, it was decided that these two student-facing ministries, which have always operated as separate organizations, should come together as one for administrative and program support purposes. Pastor Joseph will move from being a Mission Developer pastor to a permanently called pastor under the Lutheran Campus Ministry umbrella. Pastor Joseph's vital ministry to international students and scholars will continue as a partnership with University Presbyterian's "Global Friends" program. Pastor Joseph Li and Pastor Chelsea Globe, along with the Board, will work together to support each other's campus ministry groups as we provide a Lutheran presence and witness to the UW community.
