Retreat 3: Practicing Faith in the Wilderness: Mystics and Mysticism
Saturday, February 7, 2026 9am to 3pm
Location TBD
Participants will engage in a variety of contemplative practices drawn from Quaker silence, the Desert Fathers’ stillness, Benedictine rhythms, and other traditions that cultivate interior depth and attentiveness to God. Designed as a spacious, reflective day, the retreat prepares leaders to enter Lent with openness, rootedness, and a renewed capacity to listen in the wilderness. These ancient practices and patterns will nurture participants’ own spiritual journey and cultivate an imagination for their place in your church’s life cycle. *The course prepares participants for the corresponding online Lenten course with the same name.
