Welcome Mika! (pronounces Mee-Kah)
I've always been energized by bringing people together around meaningful ideas and helping turn those ideas into action. Throughout my work, I've enjoyed building relationships, strengthening communications, developing new initiatives, and creating opportunities for people to connect in ways that make communities stronger. I love creative problem-solving and finding thoughtful ways to improve systems, foster collaboration, and help organizations grow.
One of the things that drew me to the LiVE Project is its belief that every person has gifts, wisdom, and experiences that matter. That vision resonates deeply with me. Joining the LiVE Project is especially exciting because it brings together so many of the things I'm passionate about: learning, collaboration, storytelling, and helping support and develop a ministry that's still growing. What excites me most is that LiVE invites people into meaningful conversations about faith, vocation, and community- not as passive participants, but as active collaborators who learn from one another and help shape the future of their congregations, communities, and our Synod.
As part of the LiVE team, I'm grateful to contribute through communications, storytelling, strategic engagement, and partnership-building while collaborating with others to support new initiatives and create opportunities for people to connect, learn, and discover their vocation in everyday life. I'm excited to support a team that's imagining new ways to strengthen relationships, cultivate community, and encourage people to live out their faith in meaningful and practical ways.
Whether through ministry, community engagement, or collaborative projects, I enjoy helping ideas become reality and creating spaces where people feel welcomed, valued, and inspired to contribute.
Outside of ministry, I enjoy exploring our beautiful PNW neighborhoods & discovering local hidden gems, being in the water, dancing, a good spa day, & dreaming up my next passion project.
