This course expands our personal stories, and the natural next question, how does our humanity connect to the voices of others? This course considers the ELCA social statement on Faith and Civic Life and asks what does it mean to bring our whole selves into public and civic space, and not to retreat from a world, nor also to be absorbed by it. If our Fall retreat asked us to tell our story, this course asks us to bring that story into the room where our neighbors' well-being is also included.
